Dana Zachgo Wright

Dana is Managing Director of MATH Venture Partners. She is a connector, coach and dealmaker. Her superpower is helping leadership with the operational challenges that come with scale and positioning for a strategic exit. She invests in B2B software companies focusing on vertical SaaS/platforms.
Prior to joining MATH, Dana led corporate development at Gavilon, a private-equity sponsored commodity trading firm that spun out of ConAgra Foods in 2008. Scaling both organically and through acquisitions, Gavilon sold in 2013 for more than $4.5 billion. Dana started her career at Arthur Andersen and worked in both corporate and consulting roles at American Century Investments, ConAgra Foods and Hewitt Associates.
Dana grew up in Kansas where she learned entrepreneurship first hand working in the family business starting at age 5. She is an alum of the University of Kansas. Her non-profit and advisory roles include the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Kansas School of Business, Board Member for the Illinois Venture Capital Association, Advisory Board Member for Sales Assembly and former Board Member for the Civic Consulting Alliance
Dana moved from Chicago to Austin in 2020.
